With summer fasting concluding and the school year right around the corner, I've recently talked to many weary people. I've talked with parents who are weary of their kids being home; I've talked with campers who are weary of a long weekend camping out; I've spoken with motorcycle riders who are weary from a long summer ride; but I don't think I've spoken with any Christians who are weary from doing good.
Reading Galatians 6 today for my devotions, I was reminded of how all who are Christ-followers should NOT be weary. "Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith" (6:9,10).
There is much good to be done, here at Central and beyond. So, let's not grow weary because the reward is coming.
